Paddon releases pics of TCR Hyundai

Hayden Paddon has released photos of his recent purchase, a Hyundai 130N TCR circuit car.

Brought in for Paddon Rally Sport to help with driver and technology development, the new Hyundai will be on show at both the Mystery Creek Field Days outside of Hamilton as well as at the South Canterbury Rally in a fortnight’s time.

“You can check it out up close and personal at a public event at Hyundai South Canterbury on the Wednesday night before the rally between 5.30-7pm,” said Paddon.

“Then straight after the completion of the rally on Saturday afternoon at Levels Raceway, we will complete some demo laps with it. You can also check out the car at next weeks Mystery Creek Fieldays on the Hyundai NZ stand.”

His current spec Hyundai AP4 rally car will have its last rally at the South Canterbury Rally before it is converted to a hillclimb specification.

“To celebrate this fantastic car, we have increased the restrictor size for more power (as we are not entered in any championship for this event). More power means a bigger show for spectators and also allows me to keep up to speed with driving a faster car – staying match fit for the WRC.”
