Track Tec Racing commits to three car Audi team for TCR New Zealand

Track Tec Racing will field three Audi RS3 TCR cars in the inaugural TCR New Zealand Series, commencing in January 2020.

The team, based at Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell, are all brand-new. The first car arrived at the race team last month, with another two cars on order through the Melbourne Performance Centre.

As well as the TCR NZ series, the team is in talks with drivers to run in the 2020 TCR Australia Series, including the exciting Albert Park event as part of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.

Track Tec Racing has a sole focus on race cars preparation and running with state-of-the-art race car set-up equipment. Their focus on supporting drivers includes having a Virtual Reality simulator and driver coach.

The brand-new Audi LMS RS3 TCR cars are based on the road going Audi RS3 vehicle. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder engine producing 350hp and accelerates to 100km/h in about 4.5 seconds through its sequential gearbox. The Audi won the 2018 TCR Car of the Year award and has the highest safety rating of the TCR cars available, including a safety extraction hatch. Recent success by the MPC team at Queensland Raceway saw the Audi’s take out pole position, a race win and three other podium finishes across the TCR Australia Series weekend.

Track Tec Racing is offering ‘arrive and drive’ packages to suit those that want to take their touring car experience to the next level. Packages also available for those that are looking at purchasing their own car and need some support in either preparation or race weekends or both.

Driver announcements for the Track Tec Racing-run Audi TCR cars will be announced in due course.
