Hayden Paddon and John Kennard this weekend take part in the Rally di Alba, a tarmac event which is the fourth round of the Tour European Rally season. It’s the first of four rallies the pairing will compete in as part of their 2022 European campaign.
Paddon and Kennrd will drive a Hyundai i20 R5 with the HMI Italian Rally Team, one which they have competed with in the past.
“I am so excited to be working with the TER, and to be back rallying in Europe, our first time in almost three years. In fact Alba will also be our first tarmac rally in over four years, but I have followed Rally Alba a lot in the past and the stages look amazing. We look forward to working with HMI Hyundai, a team we have very good memories with.
“Seat time is seat time so it will be great for John and I to get back into the European scene, particularly on tarmac. Having spent a bit of time on the race track, it will be interesting to see how we go this weekend.”
Rally di Alba takes place in the Langhe area in the north-west region of Italy, almost half way between Monaco and Milan.
