Following on from the successful debut of the CAMS Australia S5000 Championship at Sandown Raceway last weekend, we delve a little deeper into the series.

The S5000 was the original vision of Australian based Kiwi Chris Lambden. Former publisher (Motorsport News) and driver (raced a McRae GM1 in the Tasman F5000 revival Series), Lambden has been the driving force behind the new series.

Theracetorque.com spoke with Chris Lambden a couple of days after the Sandown round.

Here’s the podcast (below), a worthwhile listen. They talk about the captivating sound of 13x S5000s on track, Rubens Barricello and will we see Ken Smith in a S5000 at the Australian Grand Prix weekend in 2020?
