Competing at he fourth of seven rounds, former NZ Formula 1600 Champion Callum Hedge has slipped to third on the Australian Formula Ford Championship points table. The round took place a The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia over the weekend.
Current championship leader Angelo Mouzouris (Mygale SJ18A) took pole position on Saturday with Hedge (#5 Mygale SJ10A) third behind Zac Soutar (Mygale SJ13).
But it was fourth fastest Tom Sargent (Mygale SJ12) (#47 pictured above) who won the opening race with Hedge second and Mouzouris third.
Mourouris was back in the winner’s circle for the second race of the weekend on Sunday with Hedge third behind Lachlan Mineeff (Mygale SJ10A).
Mineeff then went on to pick up his maiden national AFFC race win in the third and final race ahead of Sargent, Soutar, Mouzouris, Jay Hanson (Mygale SJ010A06) and Hedge.
Hedge is just two points behind Sargent with Mouzouris continuing to lead 16 points ahead of second.
The next round takes place at Sandown Raceway 19-21 July,
