Jacob Douglas has finished the fourth round of the 2023 USF2000 Series Presented by Cooper Tires with a third placing at Sebring International Raceway over the weekend.
“Definitely pleased to be on the podium,” commented Douglas. “That race went much better as I was able to capitalise on others’ battles and managed to come home third at the end.
“We had a puncture in the opening laps of the first race on Saturday and I elected to drive on it rather than pit and finished in 13th, salvaging a couple of points.”

Two qualifying sessions left Douglas disappointed with his starting positions.
“I wasn’t happy wih the P7 and P9 as there is potential for more. It’s something we need to start to maximise in the future.”
A separate qualifying session earlier on Sunday saw Simon Sikes, who went on to win Round 4, claim his third Cooper Tires Pole Award, comfortably clear of new teammate Max Garcia.
Sykes leads the Series on 107 points with Douglas moving up to seventh on 49-points.
The next three rounds of the series take place at the Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit 11-13 May 2023
