Practice begins today for this weekend’s Bosch Power Tools Perth Super440. It’s the fifth round of the Repco Supercars Championship in the west, at WA’s historic Wanneroo circuit, now known as CARCO.com.au Raceway.
The circuit will bring up a slice of history next week when it becomes the first in history to record 100 Championship races in Supercars/Australian Touring Car Championship.
Today will feature two 30 minute practice sessions ahead of tomorrow’s dual qualifying and two races.
Championship front runners Broc Feeney and Will Brown met withy hundreds of fans in Perth’s CBD on Thursday night on the eve of this weekend’s event.
Red Bull Ampol Racing’s Chevrolet driver Broc Feeney leads the standings by 33 points from his teammate Will Brown heading into next weekend, with rising kiwi star Matt Payne the best of the Ford drivers, third in the standings and 75 points behind Feeney.
Perth born 2023 Champion and defending Bathurst Champion Brodie Kostecki, from Ballajura, is also hunting his first win on his home circuit.
The Bosch Power Tools Perth Super440 begins with practice on Friday before two races on Saturday and one race on Sunday.
