Race week for the inaugural Supercars Finals has arrived and this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 marks the opening round of the Supercars Finals, where the top 10 drivers in the championship have had their points reset, kicking off a three-round knockout style tournament to decide this year’s champion.

Two-time Gold Coast winner Cam Waters is expected to be a threat this weekend, while Kiwi Ryan Wood and Chevrolet driver Anton De Pasquale look to claim their first wins in the concrete canyon.

Rookie Kai Allen has never raced anything on the streets of the Gold Coast, while Waters’ teammate Thomas Randle hopes to upgrade on a 2024 runner-up finish on the GC and score his first career win this weekend.

The pressure will be on all 10 Finalists this weekend, with the lowest three scorers eliminated from championship contention at the end of the weekend.

They will also have to contend with 14 other full-time Supercars drivers with nothing to lose, with over half the field looking to play spoiler on the unforgiving streets circuit.

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 takes place October 24-26 on the streets of Surfers Paradise.
