The Repco Supercars Championship has officially arrived in Townsville, Queensland, with over a dozen transporters convoying into North Queensland’s largest city today as festivities for the 2025 NTI Townsville 500 officially get underway.
Carrying over tens of millions of dollars’ worth of Supercars and equipment, the transporter convoy traversed around iconic Castle Hill and past throngs of fans at Central Park en route to Reid Park street circuit, where they will park up for this weekend’s event.
Gold Coast based Chevrolet driver James Golding from PremiAir Racing says a win in Townsville is one of the most sought after prizes on the calendar.
Festivities in Townsville continue tomorrow with Track to Town, where at 4:20pm AEST all 24 Supercars will drive from Reid Park to the popular Palmer Street precinct for an all-driver signing session, a Townsville first.
Fans are encouraged to line the streets and head to Palmer Street for the free event, where they can get up close with all the stars and cars of the Repco Supercars Championship before they hit the track on Friday for a 100km race.
In a global first, Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Australia will bring its renowned, high-adrenaline format to the heart of the Supercars precinct with the first-ever Australia vs New Zealand PBR showdown.
General admission, corporate hospitality and grandstand tickets for the 2025 NTI Townsville 500 are available through Supercars.com.
