Having competed for a second time in the 2025 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship, Texan Jett Bowling has won his first race in Formula Regional Americas at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and then followed up with a podium second place.
This puts the 20-year-old back in contention for the overall championship after eight races. He now sits fourth behind the leader, teammate Nicolas Ambiado of Chile, by just 14-points with 13 races still to go.
“It was a great weekend, but we really needed it,” said Bowling. “We always knew podiums were a must after our unlucky weekend at Road America last time out. We did the job, we got that win and got that chip off our shoulder so now we know we can.”
His team Kiwi Motorsport totally dominated the weekend again, sweeping both races with drivers taking all the podium places as they extended their lead in the teams’ championship.
“I’m just proud of Jett,” commented Garry Orton, Team Principle Kiwi Motorsport. “We should have had a couple of wins already with him and we probably as a team let him down, but this time he really showed his worth, especially with the restart which he couldn’t have done better. So, I’m super proud of him and the rest of the boys to finish all in the top four. They were close, they were clean, gave each other room and put on a bloody good show.”
To top off the weekend, Bowling was awarded with a limited edition Olomgato watch celebrating the famous Brickyard for the best performer of the series at Indy.
