Newly crowned New Zealand Formula Ford driver Marco Manson will head over the Tasman this winter to compete in the Australian AU4 Championship.
“I’m going to do the F4 in Australia this year, which starts in early May. I’m quite excited,” said 15-year-old Manson on The Inside Line Podcast.
“It’s going to be run by Mark Pilcher from M2 and Tim Macrow Racing, so it’ll be quite a good team.”

He will be the second Kiwi on the grid with Jackson Culver signing with Sydney-based AGI Sport to contest the entry level class. The 14-year-old is eligible to race the first generation Mygale F4 cars, first introduced into Australia in 2015 but retired in 2019, after Motorsport Australia agreed last year to allow the older cars back to support the current AU4 Championship, with a lowered entry age of 14 years. Drivers must be over 15 years of age to drive the newer generation F4 cars.
The five-round 2026 Australia AU4 Championship begins at Winton Motor Raceway on 1-3 May 2026 then heads to the Sydney Motorsport Park for Round 2 20-31 May. The Bend Motorsport Park hosts two back-to-back rounds 17-19 July and 21-23 August on the West Circuit and International Circuit respectively.
The season will then conclude at Sydney Motorsport Park on 11-13 September 2026.
