Three out of three for McElrea at The Bend

Hunter McElrea has extended his Australian Formula Ford Championship lead after winning all three races at The Bend Motorsport Park over the weekend.

During race three McElrea defeated all opposition finishing over six seconds ahead of Tom Sargent Motorsport and Zac Soutar.

McElrea also dominated race two as Sonic Motor Racing Services grabbed a one-two, with Hamish Ribarits Motorsports finishing three seconds behind his team-mate.

CHE Racing Team rookie Tom Sargent Motorsport claimed his maiden national podium after a thrilling seven-car battle for second position.

McElrea has won eleven out of fifteen races this season dominating the weekend round in front of a big crowd at the OTR Supersprint.
