With the opening round of the brand new BNT NZ Touring Cars done and dusted Cambridge driver Nick Ross looks ahead to round two at Pukekohe Park Raceway held this weekend as part of the ITM 500 V8 Supercar event.

Driving the TOTAL Lubricants Nissan Altima TLX for the first time this season in the brand new NZ Touring Cars Championship, Nick Ross came away from round one in 10th place overall.

“We didn’t have the fastest car on the day but we managed to hold our own and for a first meeting all together the racing was good and also great for the spectators.” said Ross.

Ross who was the NZV8 Touring Cars TLX Champion for the 2013-14 season looks forward to this weekend at Pukekohe which has always offered much excitement for the spectators and where he won the title in the final race of the final round of the season in April 2014.

This weekend at Pukekohe will be even more exciting as Ross and the NZ Touring Cars will be part of the ITM 500 V8 Supercar event which will draw a very large crowd over the weekend who will come along expecting some high paced V8 powered action from the Aussies and the Kiwis alike.

Ross and the Concept Motorsport crew are always strong at the South Auckland circuit and will be working on a move up in the points from their current 10th place as they take on a much larger field of drivers since the inception of the NZ Touring Cars this year.

“We’re not quite where we wanted to be but upwards and onwards and bring on Pukekohe.” said Ross.

Round Two of the BNT NZ Touring Cars is held at Pukekohe Park Raceway over the weekend of 6-8 November and is the top support class of the ITM 500 V8 Supercars event.
