Feeney wins double, Payne on podium in Tasmania

Broc Feeney has won the Tyrepower Tasmania Super 440 finale 2026 Repco Supercars Championship race held at Symmons Plains, Tasmania on Sunday. Feeney and championship rival Matt Payne were in another league cruising to first and second, despite wheel-to-wheel contact just seconds into the race.

“For us, that result is important,” commented Feeney. “It’s an important time of the year to start to hit our strides and we really need to start finding a sweet spot with this car so we can continue progressing.”

Feeney wheelspin off the start gave Payne an advantage inching ahead off the line, though Feeney just managed to keep his nose far enough up the inside at Turn 2.

Kai Allen rounded out the podium with De Pasquale, Brown, Ojeda, Aaron Cameron, Wood, Mostert, and Cam Waters filling out the top 10.

Feeney has now extended his championship lead to 90-points.

“So, great to be leading the points, fantastic to get another win,” said Feeney. “Still plenty of things we can improve on, looking forward to doing that and looking forward to Darwin.” (betr Darwin Triple Crown on June 19-21)

Dewalt Racing’s Anton De Pasquale has capped off a strong weekend for Team 18 with a fourth place finish.

“It was a decent day for us. Making the shootout was really good and then we carried that pace into the race,” said De Pasquale. “We had some really good battles out there.

“Unfortunately, we lost a bit of time in pit lane and lost third spot somewhere through there, so it would’ve been nice to battle for that on track, but unfortunately we couldn’t.”
