Race day at the betr Darwin Triple Crown is just over a day away, as teams complete final preparations for this weekend’s event today in the Top End.
There will be three Supercars races this weekend, one each day at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway, the sixth round of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.
This weekend’s event is also Supercars’ annual Indigenous Round, and will see all 24 Supercars dressed in unique indigenous-themed liveries, featuring artwork designed by indigenous artists.

Melbourne-based Grove Racing has unveiled an eye-catching pair of Penrite Ford Mustangs for this weekend’s event, designed in partnership with the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School.
The cars will be raced by two of Supercars’ most exciting young talents: 23-year old reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Matt Payne, and 20-year old sophomore Kai Allen, who made Supercars’ inaugural Grand Final last year in just his rookie year.
Allen scored his first Supercars podiums in Darwin in 2025, jump starting a stunning run to the Grand Final. The 20-year old from Mount Gambier currently sits fifth in the 2026 standings.
Payne is second in the championship currently, trailing Gold Coaster and championship leader Broc Feeney by 90 points heading into the start of action on Friday.
In event news, the Northern Territory government announced the introduction of night-time Supercars racing in Darwin in 2027.
A Friday night race, Saturday twilight race, and Sunday day time race will make Supercars’ visit to the Top End an instant feature on next year’s calendar.
Supercars hits the track Friday morning at 10:05 a.m. ACST for first practice, with a 100-kilometre race from 5:00 p.m. local time Friday.
200-kilometre races on Saturday (3:20 p.m.) and Sunday (2:40 p.m.) will round out the betr Darwin Triple Crown.
The driver who scores the most points across the weekend will be awarded the Darwin Triple Crown.
