Stanaway and Payne poised for wins as 2024 Penrite Mustangs unveiled

Kiwi drivers Richie Stanaway and Matt Payne have unveiled the machines with which they aim to contend for the 2024 Supercars title with.

The Grove Racing drivers unveiled their Penrite-backed Ford Mustangs on Saturday morning in Melbourne, just three weeks before the Thrifty Bathurst 500 opens the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship.

Stanaway enters 2024 as reigning winner of the Repco Bathurst 1000, having taken out last year’s Great Race alongside Shane van Gisbergen, and returns to full-time Supercars racing this year for the first time since 2019.

Auckland-born Payne was a force in the second half of 2023, and won the Adelaide 500 as a rookie in the season finale, meaning he enters 2024 as Supercars’ most recent race winner.
The Grove team won two of the last three races in 2023, with many marking them as a major contender in the upcoming season.

All Supercars teams will hit the track this coming week for pre-season testing as the season-opening Thrifty Bathurst 500 nears, taking place February 23-25 at Mount Panorama.

The Bathurst 500 takes place one week after the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour, the two racing weekends making up the Bathurst SuperFest, featuring the best Australian and international motorsport have to offer.

Tickets and campsites information for the Bathurst SuperFest can be found at Bathurst12hour.com.au and Supercars.com.

The Bathurst SuperFest is proudly supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

Live coverage of the Repco Bathurst 12 Hour and Thrifty Bathurst 500 will be found on the Seven and Foxtel family of networks.
