Founded in 1926, the Auckland Motorcycle Club has a 91 year history of serving the sport of motorcycling – both in the greater Auckland Region, and also across New Zealand – and last Saturday the Club came together once again for their annual AGM and Prize-giving.
Trophies and Sponsor merchandise were handed-out in celebration of the Club Champions across Road-Race and Buckets for the 2016-17 season; and including the Carl Cox Hyosung Cup, which has been an integral part of
the AMCC Series for the past six years.
On hand to present the Cup trophies were Hyosung Cup Organiser & Promoter Ken Dobson, and two-time European Women’s Cup Champion (2015 and 2016) – and AMCC Member – Avalon Biddle (pictured).
Biddle is Ambassador for the Hyosung Cup, and still an occasional competitor aboard the Hyosung NZ X4R when commitments allow; and when not racing, she is found mentoring a new generation of Cup hopefuls.
Ken Dobson confirmed a seventh season of Hyosung Cup action is in the pipeline for the coming season, and Avalon Biddle reflected on the support AMCC has provided herself and a number of other riders in both National and International competitive endeavours.
Her presentation to the Club, of a framed and autographed image of herself in action, for the AMCC Clubrooms, was well received.
Then it was over to AMCC President Paul Stewart, and incoming Vice-President Peter Nagle, to hand out the Bucket and Club Series
accolades.
