Te Puke’s Michael Scott has increased his lead in the 2015/16 New Zealand Formula Ford Championship after winning all three races at the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park over the weekend.
The ‘two-horse’ race for the title saw rival Aaron Marr second, also in all three races with Tauranga’s Kim Crocker third.
Scott has increased his lead on the points table to 28. Marr has just two more rounds to close the gap with the penultimate round this weekend at the NZ Grand Prix meeting at Manfeild Park in Feilding.
The overall winner of the national championship will have the opportunity to attend an international ‘shoot-out’ in the US to determine who wins a $US200K fully supported drive in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda in 2017.
