Final race in Ipswich today, Sprint Cup honours on the line

The winner of the Repco Sprint Cup will be crowned today at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, following at 200-kilometre race this afternoon.

Race 28 of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship season will see the 27-car field race for 62 laps around Queensland Raceway later today.

The championship leader at the end of today’s race will be awarded the Sprint Cup, with an automatic berth in the Supercars Finals and 25 Finals bonus points up for grabs.

Kiwi Matt Payne is in the box seat to win the Sprint Cup, boasting a 110-point lead over Broc Feeney, the only driver who can mathematically overtake Payne for the honours.

Today’s action follows an enthralling Race 27 on Saturday afternoon, where homegrown hero Will Brown took an emotional win in front of a partisan Queensland crowd.

It was Brown’s first win in over a year, and one he claims was his best since he won the 2024 season finale from last place.

Supercars action on Sunday begins with Boost Mobile Qualifying for Race 28 at 10:55 a.m. AEST, followed by the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout at 11:40 a.m.

That will set the grid for the Race 28 of the Repco Supercars Championship season, which gets underway at 3:20 p.m.
