Inaugural ITM Taupō Super400 event volunteers win Supercars award

The dedicated team of volunteers who helped deliver a memorable inaugural ITM Taupō Super400 event in New Zealand has been awarded the Best Volunteer Group of the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship season.

Announced at the season finale VAILO Adelaide 500, this prestigious award recognises the work of the volunteers who played an essential role in bringing making Taupō’s inaugural Supercars event a roaring success.

Supercars CEO Shane Howard praised the Taupō team, saying, “This recognition is a true reflection of the unwavering passion and commitment displayed by the volunteers in New Zealand who worked tirelessly throughout the event to ensure our first visit to Taupō was a resounding success.

“The ITM Taupō Super400 would not have achieved the impact it did without the selfless dedication and hard work of these extraordinary individuals.

“This award is a well-deserved acknowledgment of their invaluable contributions, which have set a high standard for all Supercars events.”

The ITM Taupō Super400 brought Supercars back to New Zealand, drawing a sell-out crowd and showcasing world-class racing in a whole new part of the continent.

The award presentation is one of several honours to be revealed over the final weekend of the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship at the VAILO Adelaide 500.
