The final ever motorsport weekend at Pukekohe is taking shape and it’s promising to be a fantastic send off for the fastest circuit in the Southern hemisphere with plenty of racing, categories to suit everyone and ticket prices that are more like those of th 1990s not the 2020s
Off track there will be plenty to see, with a truck show set to feature amongst a huge array of car enthusiasts and car clubs all showing their ‘pride and joys’ and paying homage one final time to New Zealand’s Theatre of Speed.
On track fans can look forward to Super GT NZ, Super V8s, Central Muscle Cars, Super Trucks, Open GT, RYCO 24-7 V8 Utes, NEXEN Tyre Mazda Racing, Motul Honda Cup, Pre 65/ MINI. Open GT will bring out some of the fastest things on four wheels in New Zealand and there’s a good chance the lap record may be reset – forever.
Racing will be on both the original format of the track, and in the new format of the track which means any drivers competing will be able to race, uniquely, on both track configurations over a single weekend.
To get ticketing rolling, promoter SpeedWorks is offering a Christmas ticket special with 50% off gate prices for the meeting on March 25 – 26 and that means ticket prices of just $20 with kids 14 and under going free when accompanied by a paying adult.
