Feeney in control in Darwin on Saturday

Broc Feeney has taken control of this weekend’s betr Darwin Triple Crown Supercars round at Hidden Valley Raceway. The Red Bull Ampol Racing driver qualified on pole for Races 17 and 18, taking victory in both..

“Race one it was super crucial to get the start that I did,” said Feeney. “I mean, I think whoever leads into turn one is going to have a big advantage but then unfortunately we just had pretty much ten to fifteen laps of safety car, which was a shame, because all you want to do is get racing.

“Unlucky to have crashes in those instances, but glad all those guys are okay. Then from there we sort of just tried to manage the race and gap back to Cam (Waters). “

As the lights went out, Feeney defended from Cam Waters, and held on around Turn 1. That was where Jaxon Evans’ race ended, courtesy of a collision with Richie Stanaway. The contact sent Evans onto the grass, into the Armco barrier, and out on the spot. At Turn 4, Anton De Pasquale turned Macauley Jones into a spin.

Ryan Wood pulled out of Race 17 with an engine issue

After the first Safety Car restart, Waters challenged Feeney, while Ryan Wood pulled to the left with engine issues. The slowing Wood backed up the field, seeing Le Brocq sent into the wall by Cameron Hill. Brown also sustained damage, with Le Brocq and Wood stopping on the run to Turn 1.

At Turn 5, David Reynolds was tipped into a spin by Percat, with Richie Stanaway climbing over the #10 Bendix Chevrolet. The Safety Car was deployed for a second time, with Stanaway forced into the garage.

Broc Feeney controlled proceedings in Race 18 for his seventh victory of the 2025 Supercars season in Darwin, as Anton De Pasquale and Kai Allen scored their first podiums of the year.

The championship leader was peerless in the 42-lapper, which finished under control of the bp pulse Safety Car after a late incident at the hairpin.

“Race two was good once again, just got a good start and away we went,” said Feeney. “Got Anton (De Pasquale) off the line and from there just tried managing the race as best we could.

“Obviously there was a safety car at the end which was a bit unfortunate and anticlimactic for me and probably everyone watching on, I mean you get all pumped up in the car and then everything calms down, but overall stoked with a fantastic day. Two wins, two poles and a fastest lap. It’s been really solid. Bring on tomorrow!”

While Feeney was untouchable, De Pasquale and rookie Allen completed the podium.

Heimgartner, Kostecki, Fullwood, Brown, Payne, Wood and Waters rounded out the top 10.

Sunday’s action will commence with Boost Mobile Qualifying at 9:05am/9:35am AEST, followed by the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout at 11:35am/12:05pm AEST and Race 19 at 2:40pm local/3:10pm AEST.
