Brendon Leitch confirms Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe return

Brendon Leitch has confirmed he will contest select rounds of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with the ultimate goal of winning the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals.

Leitch will reunite with German team Leipert Motorsport next week, the same squad he won Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with in 2023.

His first start with the team in 2026 will be at Spa-Francorchamps on June 25-27 as part of the Crowdstrike Spa 24 support card.

Leitch will join American Don Yount in the Pro-Am class in what will be their first time racing together in the single-make series.

The pair previously raced together in the Dubai 24 Hours, twice winning the GT-X class in 2025 and 2026 at Dubai Autodrome.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back to Spa and working with Don. Spa is probably my favourite circuit in the world and the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO has got to be one of the most exhilarating cars that I’ve ever raced there,” said Leitch.

“Don’s up for the challenge. We’ve won together before at Dubai so we’re familiar with each other. We did a simulator session as part of our preparation this week to get the ball rolling again and continued building that rapport before the weekend begins.

“My record speaks for itself really, so I’ll be going there planning to pick up where I left off and hopefully be getting back on the plane with a couple of trophies all going to plan.”

The second element of his Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe program will see Leitch return to the series with Australian Nicolas Stati at the Monza season finale on October 21-23.

They will also contest the Lamborghini World Finals together on October 24-25 at the same venue,

Leitch is arguably among the best Super Trofeo drivers globally as a Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe champion and Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals class winner, making him an in-demand co-driver and coach.

With Stati, Leitch scored back-to-back Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe wins at Misano in their first weekend as a pairing in 2025. Leitch is confident they can continue that form later this year.

“What Nic and I were able to do was pretty incredible. Not many can say they’ve gone out and won two races in a row on debut,” said Leitch.

“Nic is an emerging young talent out of Australia that people need to be keeping an eye on because he’s got a big future ahead of him. He’s done a lot already at 17 years old and has a lot of potential to go a long way depending on what path he takes.

“I can’t wait to get back to Europe to work with the Leipert Motorsport team and continue where we left off.”

Round 3 of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe takes place at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on June 25-27 with two races across Friday and Saturday.
