Podium for Jaxon Evans at Mandalika

Cheng Congfu and Yu Kuai led home an FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom 1-2 at the opening race of the GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS at Mandalika. Andrés Pato and Kiwi driver Jaxon Evans came through from eighth on the grid to cross the line second and win the Pro-Am class, while pole-sitter Sean Gelael (Garage 75 Ferrari) had to settle for third.

Silver-Am victory went to Craft-Bamboo’s Dean Chen and Liang Jiatong who finished an excellent fifth overall behind championship leaders Huang Ruohan and Alessandro Ghiretti (Absolute Racing).

Further back, Origine’s Wang Zhongwei and Liu Hangcheng took the Am spoils to extend their class points lead.

Jiajun Song and Kiwi driver Brendon Leitch (Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo) crossed the line in ninth.
