The covers are off on new 911 Cup Car

Porsche Australia has officially revealed the new 992.II Porsche 911 Cup car that will compete in the Porsche Equity-One Carrera Cup Australia Championship in 2027.

It marks the next generation of Porsche’s benchmark one-make race car in a year where Porsche celebrates 75 years of the brand in Australia.

The car has been developed for Porsche Carrera Cup, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and other global customer racing programs.

It features an improved aerodynamic balance and front-axle response through a revised front end, integrated fender louvres, updated underbody and redesigned rear wing.

Other upgrades include a more serviceable bodywork, improved cockpit ergonomics, updated electronics and enhanced braking performance.

The car continues Porsche’s philosophy of combining GT road-car DNA with dedicated motorsport engineering, providing a highly competitive, equal-platform race car that rewards driver skill and consistency.

A total of 28 cars are available for the 2027 championship through a structured tiered sales process.

The new 911 Cup car is priced at $495,000 +GST with the sales process commencing from August 31.

The cars will be delivered at an official handover event at The Bend Motorsport Park on 24 February 2027.
