Today marks the start of one of the most competitive seasons in the history of the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy series (formerly the Toyota Racing Series) with 19 drivers testing at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park ahead of this weekend’s opening round.
From 10am, Thursday testing will see drivers divided into two separate groups on track for 20-minutes each with three afternoon combined sessions for all drivers.
Friday practice has one 30-minute session in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Saturday sees the category first on track straight into a 15-minute qualifying session at 9:30am before the opening race at 12:24pm followed by Race 2 at the end of the day (3:22pm).
A second qualifying session takes place at 9:30am on Sunday morning with Race 3 at 12:19pm and Race 4 at 3:56pm..
Support categories include GTRNZ, Porsche NZ Championship and the Bridgestone GR86 Championship.
