All set for indigenous Supercars round in Darwin

All 25 Supercars competing in this weekend’s official Indigenous Round, the betr Darwin Triple Crown, have lined up in spectacular fashion in pitlane today at Hidden Valley.

In Darwin’s trademark perfect winter weather, teams showcased their liveries side by side, just hours before they begin battle in one of the year’s Marquee events.

2023 Darwin race winners Broc Feeney, Mark Winterbottom and Jack Le Brocq said this weekend is one of the most anticipated of the year for all drivers, who are trying to catch current points leader Will Brown.

The Red Bull Ampol Racing #87 Camaro driver holds a 136 point lead over teammate Feeney heading into this weekend’s fifth round of racing for 2024.

To win this year’s Darwin Triple Crown, drivers will need to top Friday qualifying and then go on to win both the Saturday and Sunday race of the event.

Scott McLaughlin was the first to take the coveted Triple Crown trophy in his all-conquering 2019 season when he won the two races and claimed the Sunday pole position in Darwin.

Hall of Fame inductee Jamie Whincup won the title the following year when the criteria was opened to the most points accumulated across three races during covid affected race events.

Every session of the betr Darwin Triple Crown will be broadcast live on Foxtel and streamed live via Kayo, the Seven Network will be live on Saturday and Sunday. Check local guides for details.
