Kiwi driver Matthew Payne followed up his Saturday’s Race 15 podium, finishing fourth in Race 16 at the Panasonic Air Conditioning Sydney SuperNight round of the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship. Chaz Mostert has won both races, hunting down Cam Waters and Will Brown for victory in Race 16 (Sunday).
Mostert bookended his race with crucial overtake, passing pole-sitter Will Davison on lap 1 before getting by Waters and Brown in the final 11 laps.
Mostert beat home Payne in Saturday’s race at the Sydney Motorsport Park, overturning a 15-second deficit to take victory.
Will Brown continues to lead the overall points table. Having finished sixth in Race 15, Brown finished third on the podium in Race 16 and now has a 105-point lead over Mostert.

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint on August 16-18.
