Shane van Gisbergen will make his fourth NASCAR Cup Series start at Martinsville Speedway, Virginia competing in the Cook Out 400 this weekend. Last autumn, van Gisbergen captured a 14th-place finish after starting 22nd. His best Cup Series finish at Martinsville is 12th-place and came in the autumn of 2024.
“It’s one of my better tracks for sure,” said van Gisbergen. “It’s a little difficult having the left foot braking and down shifting, that is not something I’m used too. I feel like Martinsville is one of my stronger tracks. I really look forward to going there. The racing gets a bit crazy, but in general it’s one of my favourites.”
Van Gisbergen will pilot the No. 97 SuperFile Chevrolet for the third time this season.
