Toyota has shot to the top of the time sheets at The Bend, as Chaz Mostert has topped the final practice session at the AirTouch 500, ahead of qualifying this afternoon.
The 2025 Supercars champion led 2025 Bathurst 1000 winner Matt Payne by three one hundredths of a second as drivers made their final qualifying simulations in Practice 5.
Chevrolet’s Jack Le Brocq was third fastest for Matt Stone Racing, with Tickford Racing teammates Cam Waters and Thomas Randle rounded out the top five.
Rookie Jackson Walls impressed with the sixth fastest time of the session, while defending AirTouch 500 winner Brodie Kostecki was 26th and last, having not posted a representative lap time.
Boost Mobile Qualifying is next up at 2:45 p.m. to set the stage for the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout to determine the pole sitter for tomorrow’s race, from 5:00 p.m.
