Youngest field ever ready to light up Sydney 500

Among those include reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Matt Payne (23), 2025 Repco Sprint Cup winner Broc Feeney (23), Rookie of the Year Kai Allen (20), and race-winning Kiwi Ryan Wood (22), all who figure to be among the frontrunners for this year’s

There are five rookies in this year’s field, including three New South Welshmen in Jayden Ojeda (Perth), Rylan Gray (Denman), and Jackson Walls (Sydney).

They will all be looking to dethrone defending Supercars champion Chaz Mostert when the gloves come off tomorrow and racing begins.

2026 Super2-Nash Morris, Alice Buckley and Lochie Dalton

The Dunlop Super2 Series is also in action this weekend, where Queenslander Alice Buckley will make her Super2 debut in a 20-car field. Buckley is widely regarded as the next female with the best potential to step onto the Supercars grid in the coming years.

All driver cars will be on-track tonight at SMSP for a four-hour testing session, before practice, qualifying and the first race of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship, taking place under the lights.

Supercars kicks off its 2026 season with three races at the DUNLOP Sydney 500, one each day of the February 20-22 event.

It is also the competitive debut for the highly anticipated Toyota GR Supra, with Walkinshaw TWG Racing and Brad Jones Racing fielding a combined five Supras, including Mostert and Wood.
