The Lone Star / Joe’s Garage Canterbury Rally returned in 2026 with a new era for rallying in the South Island. From the forests of Ashley to the roads of North Canterbury, thousands of spectators lined the stages for round two of the New Zealand Rally Championship.
With premium fan zones, a ceremonial start in the heart of Christchurch, live commentary, big screens and some of the fastest rally cars in the country, this year’s event was built to bring rallying closer to the fans than ever before.
