Bathurst practice starts today

Supercars on Mount Panorama, a match made in heaven that comes to life today in Bathurst. Practice begins today at the Repco Bathurst 1000, as on-track running kicks off ahead of Sunday’s 1000-kilometre epic.

Fans have turned out in droves this week already. Some 25,000+ continue to fill the campgrounds around Mount Panorama, while punters have packed hotels, pubs, and cafes around Bathurst since last week.

Thousands lined the streets last night for the Repco Bathurst 1000 Street Party, as the entire 26-car grid drove from the circuit into Bathurst CBD for an all-driver signing session.

The Street Party was highlighted by the Pirtek Pit Stop Challenge Finals, where the four fastest teams in pit lane squared off to be crowned the sport’s fastest pit crew.

It was Broc Feeney and Triple Eight Race Engineering who overthrew defending champs Brad Jones Racing to claim the Golden Rattle Gun, the $20,000 prize, and the first victory of the weekend.

Practice for the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 begins this afternoon with two practice sessions at 1:30 p.m. AEDT and 3:45 p.m.

Boost Mobile Qualifying follows on Friday, with the iconic Top Ten Shootout Saturday setting the grid for Sunday’s 1000-kilometre endurance classic.
